Peel and cut the potatoes and rinse them clean
Place in the sliced potatoes into a pot of water. Boil the potatoes for at least 15 to 20 minutes until the potatoes soften
Once cooked, drain the potatoes using a strainer. Ensure that the water is completely drained before mashing
Add in the salted butter and mix it well. We want to incorporate the buttery texture to the mashed potatoes
Once mashed, add in the minced garlic to the mixture to add that garlicky taste
Finish the dish by adding mixed herbs (or garnish of choice)
