Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Many people usually underestimate how asimple side dish like Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes can quickly elevatethe taste of a dish. Growing up, mashed potatoes have been our go-to side dish,light snack.. basically a staple dish in our household!

Ingredients

  • 300 g Baby potatoes
  • 1 tbsp Minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp Salted butter
  • 1 dash Mixed herbs To garnish

Instructions

  • Peel and cut the potatoes and rinse them clean
  • Place in the sliced potatoes into a pot of water. Boil the potatoes for at least 15 to 20 minutes until the potatoes soften
  • Once cooked, drain the potatoes using a strainer. Ensure that the water is completely drained before mashing
  • Add in the salted butter and mix it well. We want to incorporate the buttery texture to the mashed potatoes
  • Once mashed, add in the minced garlic to the mixture to add that garlicky taste
  • Finish the dish by adding mixed herbs (or garnish of choice)
